AN accountants and business adviser has appointed a senior tax manager.

Clive Owen and Co, which has offices in Darlington, Durham City and York, has welcomed Lee Watson.

Mr Watson, of Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton, joins the firm with extensive experience of working with a number of large North-East practices.

The maths graduate, who studied at Northumbria University, will work in the company's Darlington base.

He said: “I’m looking forward to working with bigger clients and adding to the first-class service that Clive Owen provides.

“Hopefully I can make my mark with a few improvements and help our clients sleep a little easier by taking away their tax worries.”

Alan Moore, a tax partner at the firm, added: “We’re delighted Lee has joined us.

“This is a newly created senior post and the aim is to give the tax partners support in the firm as well as helping to drive forward new initiatives.”
