ABB Consulting, the technical consulting and engineering services business, has appointed a new operations manager to head up its projects services, technical engineering and asset closure groups.

Peter Laing joins the Billingham-based firm from Costain Teesside Operations where he was general manager.

Mr Laing has previously worked for Foster Wheeler and Amec where he held positions in project and engineering management.
