A NORTH-EAST car dealership has revealed plans to create 25 jobs.
Vertu Motors is opening a Newcastle showroom for the new luxury Infiniti range, including the Q50 sports saloon and the Q30 hatchback.
The Q30 will be made at Sunderland's Nissan plant next year.
Steve Oliver, Infiniti regional director, said: “Operating a showroom in this area will help generate awareness of the brand and build our customer base.”
Robert Forrester, chief executive of Gateshead-based Vertu, added: “We are extremely excited to be the company which is bringing Infiniti to this region.
“It will be a growing brand in the UK that will introduce a wealth of cutting-edge products over the next few years.”
Last month, Vertu revealed it had created more than 100 jobs across the region in the past year, becoming the sixth largest motor retailer in the country, employing 753 people in the North-East.
Work started last year on a new factory at Nissan's Sunderland plant to produce the Q30.
