A CONTRUCTION management consultancy firm has secured work on a North-East industrial development.
Arcterra, in Boldon, near Sunderland, is providing project management and construction design management services on the Dukesway Central, in the Team Valley, Gateshead, working on behalf of UK Land Estates.
Dukesway will provide about 200,000sq ft of industrial space.
Arcterra previously carried out project management and and construction design work on Go North-East's £7m bus depot at Metro Riverside, in Dunston, Gateshead.
Founded in 2009 by director Scott Waite, it operates across the leisure, retail, education, office development and industrial development sectors, and has also managed renewable energy schemes.
Bosses say it last year worked on projects with a value of about £10m.
Mr Waite said: “I'm absolutely thrilled with the UK Land Estates appointment, as it allows us to build on the strong working relationship we have established with the developer.
“There has been recent positive news about the construction sector and I'm certainly seeing a return to confidence with a number of clients.
“That's why I'm very optimistic we will experience continued growth in 2014.”
