A TEESSIDE logistics and haulage firm that operates vehicles sporting images from Hollywood blockbuster movies is planning to break the £2m turnover barrier after securing investment.
Mitchell Trucking Company, in Middlesbrough, will use the £120,000 investment from Evolve Finance, a division of NEL Fund Managers Limited, to buy trucks and trailers to help it meet a rush of orders .
The family company, which was this year named North-East Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year and national runner-up, has grown quickly since it was established just over three years ago.
Gordon Mitchell, company founder and managing director, said: "We needed investment to help us take advantage of a range of new opportunities and liked the people at Evolve - they appeared to like us and understood our business very well."
