CONSTRUCTION specialist and Portakabin subsidiary, Yorkon, has announced details of a £1m airport contract.
The York company was appointed to work on a terminal project to allow commercial flights to operate from Maes Awyr Ynys Mon Anglesey airport, in North Wales.
Yorkon manufactured ten steel-frame modules for the terminal in York, which have since been craned into position at the airport. Work is to be completed by next spring.
The firm has an extensive track record in airport construction, having recently completed several projects at London City Airport, as well as Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
