AN offshore safety and training firm is changing its name as it looks to enhance its services.
Falck Nutec, based at Haverton Hill, Billingham, near Stockton, is now known as Falck Safety Services, underlining its focus on safety training as one of the four core divisions of the global Falck Group.
The company annually delivers safety training to more than 240,000 people, and earlier this year, its North-East base was approved as a global training hub to deliver all five Global Wind Organisation training modules and RenewableUK wind industry specific training courses.
Allison Walker, director of sales and marketing, said the name change would allow customers across the world greater access to its services.
She said: “The global market for safety training continues to grow rapidly, and as the world leader in this market, we took the decision to re-focus our business more clearly in this specialist area of activity.
“It is an exciting time for our safety training business, and we are looking forward to building on the dramatic growth and success of the business over the past eight years.”
