A PRINTING firm is set for expansion after investing in £52,000 cutting edge technology.

Signage and branding firm Screentech has bought an Agfa Anapurna Mw machine, which enables printing on surfaces up to 10ft by 5ft on virtually any material and will allow the company to offer a greater range of products as well as accessing the lucrative market for branded interior doors.

Since investing in the new machine, Screentech has already added trainee sign maker Kingsley Hepper to its team, with more new jobs likely to follow in the coming months.

The company hopes the acquisition will also increase turnover significantly and help a move into new and larger premises.

Managing director David Robinson said: “The new machine saves us time and money, but most importantly it allows us to improve on our services for our clients.

“I would also like to say a massive thanks to Nat West Bank, Lombard and the Regional Growth Fund as we would have not been able to purchase this machine so soon without their help.”

Screentech was established in 1985 and lists universities, colleges, sports clubs and retailers amongst its clients.
