A NORTH East firm of chartered accountants and business advisers has appointed a new director to continue with the firm’s growth plans.
Clive Owen & Co LLP, which has offices in Darlington and Durham, has welcomed back Kevin Shotton, who worked for the company straight after studying economics and law at Durham University.
Mr Shotton, from Washington,Wearside originally joined Clive Owen & Co in 2002, where he remained until December 2005 when he qualified as a chartered accountant.
He then moved to Ernst and Young, in Newcastle, where he increased his knowledge and experience of the corporate market. He has worked with a variety of owner-managed businesses and has knowledge of regulated companies, IFRS and transport companies.
Tony Luckett, partner with Clive Owen & Co LLP, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kevin back to the firm. As we continue to move the practice forward and remain focused on further developments and new initiatives, it is essential we have the right team in place. Kevin is an excellent addition to the firm and his skills will be a valuable asset.”
Mr Shotton said: “It is great to be back at Clive Owen. I feel I can add more now that I have gained other experience. It is exciting to see how the firm has progressed over recent years and this is the right move for me now. I am really looking forward to the future here.”
