After all the controversy around the Teesworks site and last week’s crushing news that one investor has pulled out of opening there, it’s great to be able to report some good news.

It is difficult not to have sympathy with those left furious by plans for a mass closure of railway station ticket offices in England.

Since its inception 75 years ago today, the NHS has been part of the fabric of the nation and for many, a fundamental part of what it means to be British.
