Ray and Edna BINDERMAN Congratulations to Ray and Edna on your Diamond Wedding Anniversary Ray and Edna met in 1958, while working at Patons and Baldwins. They were married on July 30, 1960. They lived in Darlington for a short time, before moving to Newton Aycliffe. Ray and Edna have three children, David, Sandra and Sue, as well as two grandchildren, Tom and Dan. Ray worked in the wood and engineering industries. Edna took time off to bring up the family, then worked at the Aycliffe Young Peoples Centre. Now both retired, they enjoy family get-togethers and outings in the car. "Never go home the same way that you came" has always been their motto. Mam says that Dad has to tell everyone that they are still happily married!
