NEWCASTLE UNITED are set to complete a double transfer swoop after Davide Santon and Rob Elliot arrived on Tyneside to undergo medicals.
The Magpies reportedly agreed a £5million fee with Serie A giants Inter Milan for full-back Santon yesterday.
The 20-year-old flew into Newcastle this morning to undergo a medical and agree personal terms ahead of his move to St James' Park.
Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Elliot has also arrived at the club's Benton training ground and he looks set to complete his move after the Magpies finally agreed a deal with the league One outfit.
The Tynesiders were reported to the Premier League earlier this month over their pursuit of the 25-year-old after they had a £100,000 bid rejected.
However, it appears the club have now met Charlton's valuation of the keeper and hope to conclude the deal before the end of today.
