BRAD GUZAN has arrived at Middlesbrough's Rockliffe Park training ground to complete a medical ahead of completing a planned free transfer from Aston Villa.
Guzan has already agreed personal terms with the Teessiders, and is set to sign a two-year deal provided his medical throws up no unforeseen problems.
The American will become the fourth goalkeeper on Boro's books, joining Victor Valdes, who also signed earlier this summer, Dimi Konstantopoulos and Tomas Mejias.
Guzan has been released from the final year of his Villa Park contract after a difficult season that saw him dropped from Villa's starting line-up as the Midlands club was relegated to the Championship.
He is set to make an immediate return to his former home, with Boro due to travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa in a friendly on Saturday.
