MIDDLESBROUGH have revealed their new home and away kits for the 2016-17 season - and the designs have immediately caused quite a stir amongst the club's fans.

The new home kit features a return of the popular white band - but instead of being in the centre of the shirt, as was the case with Jack Charlton's promotion winners, the band is at the bottom, below the sponsors' logo.

The red home shirt, which is manufactured by Adidas, also features a blue trim, which is unusual for Boro's home kit design.

The Northern Echo:

The new away shirt is described as "indigo" and features an "indigo and bright cyan chevron". The Boro crest is also in bright cyan, with navy shorts which also featured a cyan crest.

The Northern Echo:

The new home kit went on exclusive sale to season card holders at the Riverside club store this morning, with a general sale starting tomorrow. Existing 2015-16 season card holders can pre-order the new away kit instore.

The club store will be open from 9am to 7pm today, with children and youth sizes priced at £38-45 and adult shirts priced £48.
