AN extensive country estate is expected to fetch between £1m and £1.2m when it goes under the hammer in North Yorkshire next month.
Newsham Grange by South Otterington, near Northallerton, includes a Grade II-listed Queen Anne house set in 17 acres of land.
It has been run as a successful livery business for many years and is now being sold through Hunters estate agency. The auction will be held on September 24 in the Gimcrack Suite at York Racecourse.
“For the price of a townhouse in London, a buyer can acquire this beautiful country estate. It is perfect for those wanting to escape the rat race and enjoy the quiet of the countryside,” said Hunters director John Waterhouse.
He added: “I expect this to be a very competitive sale.”
