A GRANDMOTHER of eight who threw herself in front of a train was being treated for depression an inquest heard this afternoon.
Margaret Hebdon, from Brompton near Northallerton, died of multiple injuries on May 19 after being struck by the 17.58 York to Middlesbrough train near her home.
After hearing from the train driver as well as her husband and one of her daughters coroner Michael Oakley said he was satisfied Mrs Hebdon's death was a suicide.
