A BUS company and a drivers' union have resumed negotiations over pay after a one-day strike.
Drivers with Go North East's Washington and Deptford depots in Sunderland staged the first of four 24-hour actions last month.
Many services did not run while others operated at a reduced level.
A second strike yesterday was called off so that talks could resume between the company and the union Unite.
Go North East Commercial Director Martin Harris said: "There have been some reports that strike action was continuing so I would like to take this opportunity to reassure our passengers and confirm that all of our buses are running normally."
The wrangle is over a two per cent pay offer from the firm that would be spread over 18 months, which the union says is unacceptable.
The company, whose heartland is North Durham, has nine depots and each has its own agreement on pay and conditions.
No-one was available for comment at the union Unite.
