Excitement has been building in Darlington for the re-opening of the popular pub The Spotted Dog.
In a Facebook post, the owners confirmed that there is now a date for the grand unveiling of the refurbished interior.
Visitors will be able to step through the doors again on September 27.
As soon as next week punters will be able to book a table and have something to look forward to at the end of the month.

A spokesperson said: "The time is finally here to announce… that we are re-opening on 27th September.
"We can’t wait to welcome everyone and show you what we’ve been working on for the last 12 months.
"Whilst we get everything up and running we will be opening Wednesday-Sunday from 12pm. We will be updating our opening hours in the future and thank you for your patience until we are able to do so.
"Our website will be up and running taking table bookings next week, we’ll let you know when it’s ready.
"Please spread the word, we can’t wait to see you all once we’re open."
Early pictures of a new-look bar, as they begin to stock up on essential drinks, have been slowly building up the anticipation of regulars.
Their announcement on social media has been attracting a lot of praise from Darlington locals.

"We are looking forward to popping down to see you all."
Sue Bowen said: "Excellent! We can't wait to get back in.
