A child has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse in County Durham.
The air ambulance, police and ambulance service attended the incident at around 5.24pm on Station Road in Hunwick on Wednesday (August 30).
After arriving on the scene, it was confirmed that a child was airlifted to hospital during the incident - with the Great North Air Ambulance confirming its attendance at the scene.

A spokesperson for the air ambulance said: "Yesterday our critical care team was activated at 5.24pm to reports of a child who had fallen from a horse in Hunwick.
"Our team arrived on scene at 5.35pm and worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient and they were airlifted to hospital for further treatment."
Durham Police and the North East Ambulance Service have been approached for a comment on the incident.
