Police have appealed for information after five teenagers were taken to hospital following a car crash on a rural North East road on Monday.
Emergency services were alerted to "serious collision" on the B6318 Military Road, just east of the A68 near Hexham, at 11.30pm on Monday.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and discovered that a red Vauxhall Corsa had left the road.
“The 17-year-old male driver of the car and the four passengers – three males and one female, all also aged 17 – were taken to hospital.
“Three occupants of the vehicle are believed to have suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other two occupants suffered minor injuries.”
The road was closed for a number of hours but has since fully re-opened.
The spokesperson added: “An investigation has been launched by the Force’s Motor Patrols team to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision – and officers are appealing to the public for information.

“Officers are now asking anyone who is still to come forward to get in touch with police. “They are especially interested in hearing from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have dashcam or CCTV footage.
