A man was injured yesterday afternoon (Thursday, July 27) after an armed robber stormed into a shop in Eston demanding cash.
The incident occurred at Eston Convenience Store, on Guisborough Street in Eston, at around 4.25 pm.
The suspect entered the store brandishing weapons and threatened a man in his forties who was in the shop. The victim suffered injuries, but these were minor and did not require hospital treatment.
The suspect made off with a quantity cash.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody at this time.

Now, Cleveland Police have asked any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and assist with investigations.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Any witnesses who have not already spoken to police are asked to call 101, quoting reference number 148282.
"Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from the Guisborough Street/ Old Row/ Stonegate areas around the time of the incident are also asked to get in touch, or upload footage directly here:
