A residential street was cordoned off after an unexploded bomb - dating from the First World War - was discovered.
The undetonated shell was found on Harrogate's Rossett Avenue, about two kilometres from Harrogate City Centre this afternoon (June 28).
The police put a cordon in place to keep the public safe and allow them to ascertain if the bomb is a danger, but they have now confirmed that this has been removed.
