A person was taken to hospital for medical treatment, where he remains, after an assault in Stockton.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, and he remains in custody currently.
Police are now looking for witnesses to come forward with more information.
The incident happened yesterday (Thursday, June 15) on the Princess Diana Bridge in Stockton.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred on Thursday, June 15, on the riverside near the Princess Diana Bridge in Stockton.
“The incident happened just before 9pm when a 48-year-old man suffered facial injuries when he was hit in the face.
“The victim was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees and he remains in hospital receiving medical treatment.
“A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in police custody at this time.
