A North Yorkshire beach has been named one of the best in the UK by a reputable source – here’s where.
Runswick Bay, North Yorkshire, has made the list of one of the best beaches in the UK according to a list by the Telegraph.
The spot was praised for resisting the usual “trappings” of seaside-y hotspots such as burger vans, fish and chip shacks and knick-knack shops.
It placed number 14 out of 20 of the best beaches and The Telegraph also praised its inviting “curve of sand and shingle.”
The beach is prized fossil-hunting territory and was complimented again for being easy to find a quiet spot, with most people staying near the village.
It’s not the only attraction the North East has to offer that has been named one of the best in the UK.
