Popstar Lulu has reportedly cancelled her appearance in Yarm after her crew were involved in a car crash.
Lulu, the former Eurovision Song Contest winner, was due to appear at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm tomorrow (Sunday, May 14) as part of her ‘For The Record’ tour.
But today (Saturday, May 13), the Teesside venue confirmed that the gig would “reluctantly” be cancelled, with a statement from Lulu’s tour manager explaining that her crew were involved in a “serious road traffic collision”.
Whilst the Facebook post said that “all parties are fine”, they are reported to be “shaken” by the incident, and cannot complete the shows scheduled for this weekend.

Though the team behind the tour and Princess Alexandra Auditorium did try to find an alternative date suitable for a rescheduled gig, this was not possible, and the venue will now begin to offer refunds.
Via social media, Lulu’s manager wrote: “Sunday 14th May's performance by Lulu is reluctantly cancelled. Her crew were involved in a serious road traffic collision yesterday evening.
“All parties are fine, though shaken, and they are not able to complete this weekend's shows. Efforts were made to find an alternative date, though that is not possible at this time. All involved apologise for any inconvenience to ticket holders.”
In a statement on their Facebook page, the venue’s auditorium manager wrote: “We are writing to sadly inform you that tomorrow night’s Performance by Lulu at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm is to be cancelled.
“As a venue, we are really sorry for the disappointment this will cause people, but please be assured we have been working with the promoters since the early hours of this morning to try to find an alternative date for the show, but it just won't work at this time.
“Thanks again for your understanding, and we wish Lulu's team a speedy recovery!”

The venue said that they would be processing refunds – with tickets costing people between £37 and £82 each.
They wrote: “We will process refunds this week from our Box Office. Please do not contact the box office regarding refunds, we will be in touch with any customers whom we need more information from.
“All other refunds will take place this week and will take 3 to 5 days from the point of refund to show in your accounts. Our Box Office opens at 12.30 pm on Monday, so we will start processing from that point. If you booked through a 3rd party ticket provider, you'll need to contact them directly.”
