An incident involving the armed police yesterday night (Sunday, May 7) closed a road and saw four arrests.
Reportedly, four men were arrested on Stockton's Durham Road after the car they were in was pulled over by armed police.
The road was shut for a considerable time last night as officers detained the men, but the road has since reopened.
Cleveland Police have been approached for a statement on the incident.

An eyewitness to the incident told The Northern Echo: "A car was stopped by armed officers, and all the lads in the car were asked to get out of the car with their arms in the air.
"Police had guns pointing towards them.
"All traffic was stopped and more police units arrived. Four males were arrested, and the car was seized."
Reports suggest that last night's incident saw a major police response - including the armed police unit, and at least six additional police vehicles in attendance.
