One person has been taken to hospital following an incident on the A1(M), the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has said.
The vehicle collision occurred on the A1(M) around Coxhoe just after 9 pm last night.
The incident caused tailbacks - but the road remained open, and traffic is now operating as normal.

The person involved was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries, and the vehicle has since been cleared.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A1 around the Coxhoe area at 9.11pm this evening.
"We dispatched an ambulance crew, one crew from our Hazardous Area Response Team and a clinical team leader. One patient has been transported to University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment."

Durham Police also responded to the incident. A spokesperson for the Force said: "Police were called shortly after 9pm, last night (March 13) to reports of a one vehicle collision on the A1M northbound between J61 & 62.
"Officers were joined by fire and ambulance at the scene near to Bowburn Interchange.
"The driver received minor injuries and the vehicle has since been recovered."
