A man has been arrested at Darlington Station after people spotted a passenger with a knife.
Officers were called to the station at 10.30am this morning (Friday, December 2).
Reports suggested a man had boarded a train carrying a knife.
He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article and following an interview, he was reported for consideration of prosecution.
A spokesperson from the British Transport Police, added: “The knife has been seized and will be destroyed.”
