Fire crews were called to a car fire earlier on Wednesday (October 19) afternoon when a Land Rover burst into flames.
The Freelander was on Brotton High Street, near Saltburn, when the incident occurred shortly after 3.15pm this afternoon.
There were delays on the busy road as motorists tried to pass the burning vehicle.

Fire fighters attended the scene and put out the blaze. Luckily the driver was not in the car at the time.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade told The Northern Echo: “We received a call at 3.19pm this afternoon.

"It was one vehicle which was on fire on Brotton High Street outside Britannia Terrace. The vehicle was a Land Rover Freelander.
"We used two hose reels and one breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and we came away at 3.54pm.
"The driver was not in the vehicle.”
Cleveland Police confirmed they were not in attendance at the incident.
