A man was take to hospital after crashing when he had a suspected seizure while driving on the A1(M) in County Durham.
The man, who was driving a white Vauxhall van crashed into the central reservation on the northbound carriageway near Bowburn at about 2.30pm on Tuesday (August 23).
Durham Police and the North East Ambulance Service attended the scene.
The road was reduced to one lane between junctions J60 and J61 for several hours while the scene was cleared.

A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended a report of a one-vehicle collision on the A1(M) between junctions 60 and 61 this afternoon at around 2.40pm.
"The driver of a white Vauxhall van is believed to have suffered a medical incident at the wheel, and was taken to University Hospital of North Durham as a precaution.
"Nobody was injured, and no other vehicles were involved."
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 2.36 pm to a car in collision with the central reservation on the A1(M) near Bowburn.
"We dispatched one paramedic crew and treated a patient with a suspected seizure, before transporting him to the Darlington Memorial Hospital with minor injuries."
The road is expected to be reopened by 9.30pm.
