A BODY has been found in the search for a missing County Durham man.
David Hardy, 37, was last seen at 9.30pm last night, February 18, after leaving his home address in Murton.
Durham Police issued an urgent appeal and asked for help in locating the man after becoming concerned for his welfare.
On Friday afternoon, February 19, officers sadly confirmed that his body was found in the Dalton Park area earlier this morning.
Mr Hardy's family have been informed.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We are sorry to report that a body has been found in the search for David Hardy.
"The body of a man was found in the Dalton Park area early this morning, which has since been confirmed as that of the 37-year-old.
"David’s family have been informed.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
