EMERGENCY services have confirmed a man has died after suffering a “medical emergency” at the wheel.
The Redcar Coast Road was closed for more than four hours after a car crashed into a garden wall and several parked cars.
A spokeswoman for the North East Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 7.09am on Saturday morning following the incident, however the driver was found unconscious and sadly pronounced dead shortly after.
A section of the Coast Road between Green Lane and Well Grove in Redcar was closed while police officers and ambulance crews responded to the incident and removed the crashed car.
