FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire in a hospital car park earlier today.
The blaze broke out at around 1pm at the University Hospital of North Durham, in Durham.
It is understood an electrical fault may have been the cause of the fire.
An NHS spokesperson said: "The fire service attended promptly and extinguished the fire.
"Fortunately there was no damage to other cars and no-one was hurt."
