BAFTA winning filmmakers visited students in Stockton recently.
Three time winner, writer-director Adam Tyler joined ‘Breakthrough Brit’ AJ Riach, from Teesside, to meet young people at Stockton Riverside College.
The pair shared their experience of the industry before interviewing students in preparation for a TV programme they are currently working on.
After holding a Q&A session, they attempted to capture the views of young people living in the North-East as they conducted research for a show about a girls’ boxing team.
Mr Riach, a former student of the college, said: “For me it is important to show students from this area that you can achieve the things you want to do.
“That’s why I come back to the college to speak about what I’m working on now and also to show that I can still go through the same struggles making content that I did when I was in college.
“If coming in for an afternoon helps or inspires someone, or gives them a reason to say, I can do this, then that is great.”
