A 17-YEAR-old boy has died following a serious collision in Middlesbrough which happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Jordan Seddon from Middlesbrough was riding a BMX bike when the collision happened with a black Fiat Punto at around 12.10am on Cargo Fleet Lane.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital but died last night, Cleveland Police have confirmed.

His family have paid tribute to him. They said: “We are devastated. Jordan was dearly loved and we would like to ask to be left alone to grieve.”

A 41-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by careless driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

She is due to appear in court today.
