A COMMUNITY Job Club is hosting a job fair with an extensive array of potential employers, recruitment agencies, training organisations, education providers and other support services.
The event takes place at Trimdon Station Community Centre, from 10am to 1pm on Friday (April 22).
It will be opened by Sedgefield MP Phil Wilson, has been arranged via East Durham Trust’s Community Organiser project - funded by Coalfield’s Regeneration Trust and Locality.
Among those attending will be Hitatchi, Profound, Pinpoint Recruitment, Army careers, Premier Community Care, Proactive Training, Nacro, Talent Match, Cornforth Partnership, Group Horizon, Groundworks, Body Shop, Redcar College, Full Circle North East and County Durham NHS Foundation Trust.
East Durham Trust chief executive Malcolm Fallow said: “This is one of a number of events we are hosting throughout the area and they are proving to be a big hit with local people.
“Although we find ourselves in challenging times for people looking for work we must try every possible strategy to improve the prospects of everybody”
Derek Bradley, Trimdon Station Community Centre manager, added: ‘This is an ideal opportunity for local people to engage with many high profile employers and training companies who are recruiting in our area.”
Free refreshments will also be available on the day.
