A WORKING taxi driver stopped by police in the Northallerton area at the weekend has been released on bail, after being arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Two special officers with North Yorkshire Police stopped the driver of a Citroen Berlingo on Boroughbridge Road, Northallerton at 7.30pm on Saturday (November 28), following concerns about his manner of driving.
Special constables working on the operation in Hambleton Tweeted:
The motorist, a 52-year-old local man, failed a roadside breath test and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
He has now been released on bail pending forensic analysis of blood samples.
