SIX fire crews were called to a major blaze in Seaham, County Durham, on Friday night.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said a detached building was well alight.
Five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were sent to the scene. Three water jets were being used to tackle the fire.
The fire service tweeted: "Incident has been sectorised and two senior officers are also in attendance.
"Five appliances, Aerial Ladder Platform and supporting appliance in attendance."
