CRICKETERS backed a winner when they held a charity race night at the Buck Inn at Thornton Watlass, near Bedale, making £3,347.
The money is being shared between the Injured Jockey's Fund, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the village cricket team.
Organised by Thornton Watlass Cricket Club and aided by Niall Hannity of Racing UK, an auction, raffle and race previews helped raise the total sum.
Organising Committee Member Sue Day said: "It was a wonderful evening. Our thanks go to those who gave the super auction and raffle prizes and to everyone who turned up to make the evening such a huge success. "
To add to the success of the night, the club has recently secured promotion and won the Towler Cup.
