FIREFIGHTERS have worked through the night to tackle a straw fire in Darlington.
Fire chiefs say around 1,500 tonnes of straw were ablaze at the farm in the town's Staindrop Road.
Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said four crews had battled the blaze for four-and-a-half hours, with two crews due to remain at the scene throughout the day.
