RESIDENTS in a Teesdale village will have access to new Post Office facilities from next month.
The current branch, in Swan Street, Evenwood, near Bishop Auckland, is closing, with services being switched to nearby Kash Retail, in Shirley Terrace.
As a result, Post Office services will be available seven days a week from 6.30am to 9pm.
The move is part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to offer longer opening hours and modern open plan environments.
The Swan Street branch will close at noon on Saturday, November 30, with services available at Kash Retail from 1pm on Monday, December 2.
