A LOTTERY millionaire was out and about in Middlesbrough town centre today (July 11) spreading the word to residents about a EuroMillions ticket that has yet to be claimed in the town.
Andy Garth, who banked £1m on Christmas Day, posed with his giant cheque and encouraged passers-by to have a picture drawn in a variety of luxury scenarios by a caricature artist, in the hope it will inspire the mystery ticket-holder to come forward and claim their ticket.
The unclaimed ticket from the EuroMillions draw on April 9 is worth £245,044.80.
The owner of the winning ticket, bought in the Middlesbrough area, matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number. The winning EuroMillions numbers on that date were 15, 35, 38, 44, 48 and the Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 10. The lucky ticket-holder has until Sunday, October 6 to make their claim.
Mr Garth said: “I do hope the winner comes forward to claim their prize. Winning the lottery is such a life changing experience, I’m currently planning on opening my dream music venue – something I would have never been able to afford.”
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the Good Causes charity.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
