A MUSEUM will host a performance to remember the fateful voyage of the Titanic.
Head of Steam – Darlington Railway Museum will hold an exhibition and performance from the History Wardrobe on the famous ship, which sank on April 15, 1912 after striking an iceberg.
There will be displays of costumes, documents and survivor testimonies, with a show telling the story of dress designer Lady Lucy Duff-Gordon, who escaped from the ship when it began sinking in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Councillor Nick Wallis, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for leisure and the environme, said: “We are delighted to be able to exhibit these pieces in Darlington, and performance art is a great way of bringing history to life.”
The show takes place on Sunday, February, 17, from 2pm, and tickets are £7.50 and are available by calling 01325-460532.
