CHAUFFEUR’S everywhere will be nudging their employers following confirmation of the new Bentley Mulsanne Speed.
Described by the company as a car “tailored for the driver” they say it delivers the world’s fastest ultra-luxury experience.
With 530bhp on tap and 811lb/ft of torque, the six and three-quarter twin-turbo V8-powered barge is capable of reaching 60mph in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 190mph.
In keeping with its credentials the Mulsanne also features selectable sports suspension and steering on demand.
Despite the impressive figures, Bentley say efficiency is up with the car’s range increased by 50 miles.
“The new Mulsanne Speed is the car that defines Bentley, as a flagship for driving luxury performance,” said chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, Wolfgang Dürheimer.
“Our customers don’t compromise, and we’ve adopted the same approach in the design, engineering and crafting of our new flagship. The Mulsanne Speed is distinguished, calm and relaxing, but always with a connection to the road and relentless dynamic performance on demand. In this car, every journey becomes a drive.”
The Mulsanne Speed will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on October 2, and will be available for customer delivery this winter.
Prices are expected to start at around £250,000.
