A car crash has landed a teenager in hospital with head injuries after three cars collided in Redcar. 

On the evening of Friday, May 10, three vehicles, a red Volkswagen Polo, a black Peugeot 307 and an Audi Q7, crashed on Troutbeck Road.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "The police are now asking any witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to get in touch and help with their enquiries.

"Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Redcar around 6pm on Friday, May 10, involving three vehicles.

"The incident happened on Troutbeck Road involving a red Volkswagen Polo, a black Peugeot 307 and an Audi Q7.

"A 19-year-old male driving the Polo suffered a non-life threatening head injury and was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.

"Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 086617."
