It is set to be a sunny day in Darlington and across the North East today as the Met Office predicts high temperatures set to reach a high of 18C.
Spring appears to have sprung and sunnier days are on the horizon as temperatures are set to reach a high of nearly 20C today (April 30) in the region.
Today, temperatures will peak at 18C from 3pm, but is then set to drop to a low of 11C by 11pm this evening.
Wind gusts of up to 17mph are also set to hit the region in the afternoon.
Following a chilly start to the week, the forecaster has said that “mist and fog” is on the way from Wednesday to the end of the week.

The forecaster predicts: “A bright start to the day for most, perhaps cloudier towards the west and north at first but a good deal of sunshine developing across the region by the afternoon.
